PPMC Hosts Annual Team Event Focused on Community Service and Team Building
On October 17th, PPMC employees from across the state gathered for the company’s third team event of the year, a signature occasion that blends professional development with meaningful community impact. The October event, a long-standing tradition at PPMC, centers around two of the organization’s core values: team building and community service.
The day began with an engaging workshop led by Jason Boron, PPMC’s StrengthsFinder Coach. The morning session focused on harnessing individual strengths to create “tiny habits” that drive positive change within teams and the broader community. Employees explored how personal growth can translate into collective success, reinforcing PPMC’s commitment to purpose-driven leadership.
Following a collaborative lunch, the afternoon brought a unique twist to traditional team-building activities. In partnership with Best Corporate Events, PPMC teams constructed a full mini golf course—using non-perishable food items as building materials. This creative endeavor was more than just fun and games; it was a powerful act of giving.
Over the past month, PPMC employees across Virginia collected food donations in their local communities. These efforts were amplified by a corporate donation of two pallets of food from Sam’s Club, resulting in a substantial contribution to Loaves and Fishes, a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger.
The event concluded with a heartfelt address from Jane Colony Mills, Executive Director of Loaves and Fishes, who shared the organization’s mission and accepted the donation on behalf of the families they serve.
This event exemplifies what PPMC stands for—collaboration, compassion, and creativity. The company recognizes their team’s enthusiasm and dedication to making a difference, and look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come.
